Recording my first album is a dream come true," says 17-year-old Myra. The debut
album released by Buena Vista Records was released on June 26, 2001. The pop
label began laying the groundwork for the release by sending Myra on the road as
opening act for Jive Records star Aaron Carter in February 2001. She's was then
invited back to tour again with Aaron Carter on his Nickelodeon sponsored tour.
Additionally, her version of the Motown classic "Dancing in the Street" was the
end-title for the animated feature "Recess: School's Out" in Spring 2001. The
accompanying music video aired several times a day on The Disney Channel and
received significant airplay on Radio Disney.

Myra worked on the record with many of the best songwriters and producers in
music today: Guy Roche & Shelly Peiken (producer/writers for Christina Aguilera's
"What A Girl Wants"); Diane Warren (hit writer for Celine Dion, Aerosmith, Ricky
Martin, Faith Hill, LeAnn Rimes and countless others) and many others.

Additionally, Myra made her television debut on an interstitial for the ABC primetime
special "Disney's Hot Summer Jams" which aired in June 2001, and then returned
to the road on a national summer tour with Aaron Carter and the A*Teens which
kicked off June 13, 2001. In August, she appeared with teen stars O-Town, and on
the nationally syndicated talk-show, "Live with Regis and Kelly." In Fall 2001, she
joined an all-star lineup on the "Radio Disney Live 2001 Tour." Shortly after, she
traveled to Puerto Rico for an extensive promotional tour for her Spanish debut
album on Hollywood Records, "Milagros." Arriving back in the States in December,
Myra quickly returned on the road with teen sensations Dream Street and Jump 5.
"Performing live is the best thing of all," says Myra. "Getting to meet all my fans on
the road has truly been the best experience."

The first single 'Miracles Happen,' released in June 2001, was the featured song in
the motion picture 'The Princess Diaries' directed by Gary Marshall. A music video
was released to THE DISNEY CHANNEL to promote the single. Soon after, it went
GOLD in the United States and was also nominated for the ALMA Award (American
Latino Media Arts Awards), for Best Song from a Motion Picture. The song was also
the theme for the hit ABC Primetime Soap Opera, "Port Charles."

Gearing up for 2002 was another roller coaster ride. Myra again hopped on the
Radio Disney train and performed several Radio Disney Live concerts. During the
summer, she went on a Sea World tour across the nation where she was featured
in the "Strudelpalooza 2002," event for Pillsbury in San Antonio, Texas. Soon after,
she entered the recording studio again to record some new songs for her debut in
Japan. She gained an overwhelming amount of success in the country, that her CD
was released twice. "Myra and More," released by AVEX Records, hit the charts with
a bang and rose to the number two position. The successful album gained Myra two
mainstream hits including "Step Into the Light," and "Lie, Lie, Lie." Her music has
been featured in several different soundtracks, commercials, and events in Japan.
She also got the honor of performing the theme of the Special Olympics during her
stay in the country in August 2002.
